The Story

The Coffee Intern began with a quiet obsession: a desire to understand the science behind a truly great cup of coffee. Founded by a data scientist by day, the roastery started in a home kitchen, where each roasting was treated as an experiment—monitoring data points and temperature curves to find the "perfect" profile.

What started as a personal curiosity grew into a mission to highlight overlooked origins. The journey began with Yunnan, China, a region producing incredible specialty coffee that often flies under the radar. While the focus today is on the diverse flavors of Yunnan, the name "The Coffee Intern" reflects a commitment to lifelong learning. As the roastery grows, so will the exploration—eventually reaching beyond Asia to origins like Ethiopia, always in search of the next great bean.
